چکیده
Serious games, gamification, or game-based interventions are increasingly used as tools to aid participatory decision-making processes, but their evaluation is often not very rigorous. Therefore, it still unclear whether really beneficial. We focused on the following overarching question: how effective specifically designed support processes. an illustrative case reflect this question. Using a published framework proposing that design processes of and intertwined, we simultaneously (1) intervention, card game workshop structure in which be used, (2) its procedure, formulating questions measure instruments based literature. pre-tested procedure small pilot study with 10 students. illustrate use for intervention generate objectives process about sustainable wastewater management. Generating Objectives: Can Decision Makers Articulate What They Want?
O have long been considered a basis for sound decision making. This research examines the ability of decision makers to generate self-relevant objectives for consequential decisions. In three empirical studies, participants consistently omitted nearly half of the objectives that they later identified as personally relevant. More surprisingly, omitted objectives were perceived to be almost as im...

The risk of terrorism is of great concern to many countries and significant resources are spent to counter this threat. A better understanding of the motivation of terrorists and their reasons for selecting certain modes and targets of attack can help improve the decisions to allocate resources in the fight against terrorism. The fundamental question addressed in this article is: "What do terro...
متن کاملGroup model building: problem structuring, policy simulation and decision support
The authors use the term, “Group Model Building” (Richardson and Andersen 1995; Vennix 1996; 1999) to refer to a bundle of techniques used to construct system dynamics models working directly with client groups on key strategic decisions. We use facilitated face-to-face meetings to elicit model structure and to engage client teams directly in the process of model conceptualization, formulation,...

Objective Long-term strategic planning is necessary if an organization intends to go beyond its customers’ expectations and remain competitive. A balanced scorecard is considered as a mere scorecard without a strategic plan. Therefore, it will only report the important measures not a clear understanding of leading the whole organization towards success. Strategic planning as the rationale behi...
